You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.

This week many of our MCG team had an amazing work day volunteering at the Greater Boston Food Bank. (www.gbfb.org) The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) takes a bold, innovative and multi-pronged approach to achieve their mission to end hunger in Eastern Massachusetts.  GBFB is the largest hunger-relief organization in New England and among the largest food banks in the country. Last year, GBFB distributed 60.7 million pounds of nutritious food to people who struggle to have enough to eat. They are committed to increasing our food distribution to provide at least one meal a day to every person in need while supporting healthy lives and healthy communities.

Being involved in our community and giving back reflects our core values at MCG Partners and with every member of our team. Individually, we are active in a variety of organizations within our own communities. However, this volunteering day of sorting and packing over 4,000 meals allowed us the opportunity to work together as a team. It was fun, rewarding and a great reminder of each of our strengths, passions and styles.

Thank you to the Greater Boston Food Bank for the amazing work they do and to our team for being a part of giving back.
