“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
– Jane Goodall
Today marks 18 years since I founded MCG Partners. Eighteen years of learning, growing, building, stumbling, getting back up, and moving forward. I find myself reflecting not just on how far we’ve come, but on why we started this journey in the first place and why it matters more than ever today.
When I lost my father suddenly at a young age, I learned a lesson that’s never left me: time is precious. None of us knows how much of it we’ll have, and that reality shapes the choices I make every day. Am I doing my best for others? Am I helping people live fuller, more meaningful lives? If today were my last day, would I be proud of how I showed up?
That is the spirit that launched MCG Partners 18 years ago. A belief that one person can make a difference. That leadership is not a title, but an opportunity to impact lives—one leader, one team, one organization at a time.
The path here has not been straight or easy. Early on, I learned the power of the self-fulfilling prophecy. When you focus on doubts and fears, you feed them. But when you envision success, resilience, and growth, when you believe in the potential of people and organizations, you unlock possibilities you never imagined.
I’ve been fortunate to work with thousands of leaders across industries, companies of all sizes, and cultures around the world. I’ve watched people transform in front of my eyes. I’ve witnessed the ripple effects when a leader finds their voice, builds trust, and inspires others. It is the most rewarding part of this work.
And while the world around us continues to change at an unprecedented pace, one truth remains constant: becoming an Agile Leader is no longer optional. It’s essential. Agile leaders are decisive, adaptable, empowering, and courageous. They embrace diverse perspectives, foster trust, and create safe spaces for innovation and growth. They understand that leadership starts with self-awareness, with the shift from me to we to you.
At MCG Partners, our mission has always been to help leaders and organizations align who they are with what they do, to build cultures of purpose, trust, and impact. With purpose and passion, we help clients make progress, inspire people, and drive performance. The Five P’s.
We couldn’t have reached this milestone without our clients, partners, friends, and team members, past and present, who believe in this mission. Thank you for your trust, your collaboration, and your commitment to making a difference.
To our incredible team: it is your heart, dedication, and excellence that have brought us here. It takes a village. Together, we amplify each other’s impact.
And to the leaders we serve: your courage inspires me every day. The decision to look inward, to evolve, to lead with authenticity it’s not easy. But it matters. You are shaping better organizations, stronger communities, and a brighter future.
As I look ahead, I’m filled with optimism. There is so much more work to do, and the need for great leadership has never been greater. So let’s not wait. Let’s start now. One person, one team, one organization at a time.
Here’s to the journey ahead.
Be your best.
Chuck
