Stephen is an executive coach and consultant for MCG Partners. MCG Partners specializes in leadership and talent optimization, aligning business and people strategy for maximum results. Stephen was an accomplished senior executive who became an executive coach and leadership trainer. He is a strategic thinker and is passionate to help directors, general managers, vice presidents, managing directors, C- level executives and presidents excel in their roles.
Having worked for global brands (P&G, BASF, Honeywell, Emerson, Ecolab & Danaher) for over 32 years, Stephen accumulated a wealth of experience in leadership and business management. He started his professional career as an engineer and moved up the rank to take up senior executive roles at Emerson, Ecolab and Danaher with full Profit & Loss responsibilities that include product development, marketing, sales, supply chain, manufacturing, engineering and after-sales service. He has a proven track record of leading culturally diverse management teams, building high performance teams, mentoring & developing talents, growing sales & market shares, increasing manufacturing & operating efficiency, improving profitability & cash flow, integrating acquisitions to enhance market share and leverage operational strength. Stephen has lived and worked in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara California, Cincinnati Ohio, Freeport and Houston Texas, Phoenix Arizona, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai China, and Singapore.
As an executive coach, Stephen leverages his broad multi-cultural and extensive corporate experience to help leaders think better to make better choices to achieve optimal outcomes and attain their goals faster. As a result of their coaching engagement with Stephen, executives developed higher EQ, managed their stress more effectively, raised their management team performance to higher levels, and become more versatile leaders that contributed to improved business results.
Born in Shanghai, Stephen grew up in Hong Kong and migrated to the States during his teenager years. He speaks Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, and English, with native fluency.
Stephen is certified as an ACC and ICF coach, and in assessment tools including Hogan Assessments, Harrison Assessments, Workplace Big 5, and various 360 feedback tools.
Stephen is a graduate of executive programs at Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, and has a Bachelor of Science, Chemical Engineering, University of California, Santa Barbara.
